Hidden Gluten

Contaminating- This is the same premise as the toaster if you are sharing peanut butter, jelly or any condiments with other household members who are not gluten free.  They are contaminating your food by dipping their knife into the condiment and spreading on non-gluten free bread and going back for more and placing on the bread.  This contaminates your food with gluten.

Envelopes- the glue used on lickable envelopes often contain gluten based glue.  It is better to use envelopes that have a self-stick adhesive that you can pull off and seal the envelope.

Spices-  McCormick spices are easy to find and based on the information we received from McCormick the single ingredient spices and herbs do not contain gluten.  

Soy Sauce- many soy sauces contain gluten/wheat.  San-J is great gluten free alternative http://www.san-j.com/product_categories.asp  they also carry wonderful gluten free crackers.
